Crow, Aniston and Cox Arquette Come out for Congo Charity

Best pals Sheryl Crow, Jennifer Aniston and Courteney Cox Arquette joined forces on Thursday to show their support for a charity campaigning for women's rights in the Congo.

The trio joined OmniPeace founder Mary Fanaro to co-host a dinner party to raise awareness for the foundation's Stamp Out Violence Against Women and Girls of the Congo cause in Los Angeles. Guests included actors Demi Moore, Marisa Tomei, James Marsden, Nicole Richie and Cox Arquette's husband David Arquette.

Aniston admits the campaign has made her more appreciative of her privileged lifestyle.

She tells People.com, "I am extremely lucky. But these women and girls need help -- it makes you think."

Cox Arquette and singer Crow are proud to be associated with such a worthy cause, particularly as both stars are parents.

Crow says, "I know I have a responsibility (to her son Wyatt). As a mom, the biggest thrill for me, but most humbling role is raising my kid as a humanitarian. I want him to grow up feeling he can do something for people less fortunate."

Cox Arquette adds, "We can do something about this. I want to bring awareness to this."

And Richie reveals she jumped at the chance to come out and back the campaign after hearing tales about the violence females in the African country have faced: "I'm all about making people aware and showing them what the problem is. It's impossible to turn your back on something like this. It's really hard to complain about anything when you hear the stories of these women and children and their torture."

The star-studded event also helped to raise money through the sale of specially designed T-shirts, with a portion of the profits being donated to the City of Joy, a women and girls' rehabilitation center being built in the Congo.
