Kinshasa – The Southern Africa Development Community (SADC) will benefit from a loan of USD 250 billion from G20, of which USD 19 billion will be directed to poor and least developed countries to pay their debts.
This was said during a meeting of the G20 held in April 2009 in London (England) in the ambit of which an additional loan will be granted, Angop learnt from a press note on Friday.
The release reads that SADC will continue with negotiations for the accomplishment of the pledge, including accords related to the strengthening of the supervision and financial regulation and reinforcement of the global financial institutes.
Meanwhile, the Kinshasa meeting is calling the attention to the fact that the economic gains achieved by the region in the last five years might face setbacks due to the world economic crisis.
